What to Expect in Your First Appointment

Your first visit is a chance for us to connect and get a full picture of you. We'll talk about your current concerns, emotional well-being, and life experiences. Together, we'll explore your mental health history, lifestyle, nutrition, stress levels, relationships, and environment, because your mental health is influenced by more than just symptoms. This holistic approach allows us to create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication, therapy, mindfulness techniques, lifestyle changes, or a combination that works best for you.

What to Expect in Your Follow-Up Appointment

If we decide to start or adjust medication, follow-up visits may initially occur every 2 weeks. This allows us to closely monitor effectiveness, track symptom changes, and address any potential side effects early. Once a medication regimen becomes stable and effective, the frequency of follow-up visits can be adjusted based on your individual needs and comfort. Medication is considered only when clinically appropriate and always after exploring non-pharmacological approaches. Follow-up visits may include supportive psychotherapy, CBT-informed therapy, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, behavioral strategies, and trauma-informed supportive work.

Per 15-minute increment

$150

This includes writing letters, completing forms, prior authorizations, or filling out other documents as requested by the patient or family. Any form requiring evaluation and more than 15 minutes of the clinician's time will be charged at a rate of $150 per 15-minute increment.

💳 Payment is due at the time of service. We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as HSA, FSA, and HRA cards.

Insurance

Insurance Information

Currently credentialing with major insurance plans.
Alice Tran Psychiatric Care is in the process of credentialing with multiple insurance providers, with an estimated completion of July 2026. Please check back or reach out directly for the most current status.

Out-of-Network Benefits

If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement from your insurance company. A detailed superbill (itemized receipt) will be provided after each session, which you can submit to your insurer directly. Please note that Alice Tran Psychiatric Care does not bill out-of-network claims on your behalf.

Tips for checking your out-of-network benefits:
Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask: "Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits? What is my out-of-network deductible and reimbursement rate for telehealth psychiatric services?"

Policies

Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, or if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will be required to pay a $100 cancellation fee.

Life happens - if you need to reschedule, please do so as early as possible so the appointment time can be offered to someone on the waitlist. Thank you for your understanding.

Your Rights

Good Faith Estimate
No Surprises Act

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost before you schedule your appointment. This estimate will include expected charges for services reasonably anticipated to be provided.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or to request a Good Faith Estimate, please contact us.
