The short answer: Alice Tran Psychiatric Care is not currently accepting PMHNP or FNP preceptees. Alice intends to begin precepting students in 2028. Thank you for thinking of us, and please check back.
Alice regularly receives preceptorship requests from PMHNP and FNP students, and each one is genuinely appreciated. Precepting is something she cares about: she was a student not long ago, she knows exactly how hard it is to find a placement, and she completed her own advanced training under an experienced supervising psychiatrist.
The practice is currently in its building phase, and Alice's full clinical attention belongs to her patients while that foundation is being laid. Precepting a student well takes real time: teaching, reviewing, and supervising every encounter. Doing it halfway would shortchange both the student and the patients, and that is not how this practice does things.
Alice intends to begin accepting preceptees in 2028, once the practice is fully established. When that happens, this page will be updated with how to apply, which rotations are available, and what the expectations are.
A few suggestions that may help your search:
If you would like to be considered when precepting opens, you are welcome to send a brief introduction to info@alicetrannp.com with "Preceptorship 2028" in the subject line: your program, specialty track (PMHNP or FNP), and expected clinical rotation dates. There is no formal waitlist yet, but interest noted now will be remembered when the door opens.
Good luck with your studies. The profession needs you, and Alice looks forward to teaching some of you before long.
