She works through symptoms, history, medical background, and current medications, then explains what she thinks and why. You leave with a plan you agreed to rather than one handed to you, and most patients schedule the first follow-up two to four weeks later.
The same provider every time. Not a rotating panel and not whoever happens to be free. Continuity is doing real work here, because psychiatric decisions get better as the history accumulates, and the person holding the history should be the person making the decisions.

No. This practice treats adults 18 to 65 only, so a teenager would need a child and adolescent specialist. Your pediatrician or your plan's provider directory is the right starting point for that. Alice can still see you, and parents often find that treating their own symptoms makes the rest of the household easier to manage.
