Careful evaluation, honest answers, and treatment built around the life you actually have. Oregon adults are usually seen within one to two weeks, by secure video.
Book a Telehealth Appointment →The picture most people carry is a boy who cannot sit still. Adult ADHD looks different. It is the person with forty browser tabs open who cannot start the one task that matters, who produces brilliant work at 11pm under deadline pressure and nothing at all at 2pm, who has been called lazy and unmotivated by people who have no idea how hard they are working just to appear ordinary.
A great many adults were never diagnosed because they compensated. Intelligence, anxiety, and sheer effort will carry someone a long way, often until a promotion, a baby, graduate school, or a job change removes the external structure that was quietly holding everything together. Then the wheels come off, and it looks sudden even though it was thirty years in the making.
Evaluation here takes two to three visits, not one appointment and a checklist. That is because the honest question is never just does this person have ADHD. It is whether anxiety, depression, trauma, or untreated sleep apnea are producing the same symptoms, and whether ADHD is present alongside them.
The largest group in this practice. Decades of compensating, then a life change that removes the scaffolding.
A diagnosis from years ago, a medication tried once, and no follow-up. Worth revisiting properly.
Extremely common together. Treating only one usually leaves the person still struggling.
Inattentive presentation without hyperactivity was routinely overlooked for a generation, and is often diagnosed for the first time in adulthood.
ADHD is evaluated and treated here, and stimulant medication is prescribed when it is clinically appropriate, with regular follow-up and prescription drug monitoring program checks. Whether stimulants are the right choice in your case is decided after the evaluation, not promised before it. Any requirements that apply to your situation are explained directly at that visit.
No, and you should be wary of anywhere that offers it. A proper evaluation takes two to three visits. Rushing it is how people end up with the wrong diagnosis and a medication that does not help.
No. Medication is often the most effective single intervention for ADHD, but skills, structure, sleep, and sometimes therapy all carry weight. What the plan includes depends on what your evaluation actually finds.
Say so honestly. It is common and it will not get you lectured. It is also not diagnostic: stimulants improve focus in most people, with or without ADHD, so responding well to one does not confirm anything.
Not from zero. Bring the records. Prior testing and treatment history are genuinely useful, though the evaluation here still confirms the picture rather than taking it on faith.
Usually within one to two weeks. There is no waitlist and no referral requirement.
By secure video, anywhere in Oregon. The initial evaluation is up to 60 minutes and follow-ups are 30 or 45 minutes. You need to be physically located in Oregon during the visit.
Oregon care is self-pay only. $400 for the initial evaluation, $200 for a 30-minute follow-up, $250 for 45 minutes. Nothing is billed to a health plan.
