My Values

"Strength begins with seeking help. You've already taken the first step."

I understand that seeking help requires immense strength, motivation, and courage. I want you to know that I hear you and I see you.

If you're new to seeing a psychiatric provider, you may be surprised to find that the initial appointment is quite similar to visits with other medical professionals. During this first appointment, the focus is on understanding your treatment goals and motivations, and figuring out how to tailor a treatment plan to align with those goals.

While you may be primarily concerned with psychiatric or mental health issues, it's important to note that we always aim to rule out any potential medical causes of your symptoms. Conditions such as depression, anxiety, and difficulty concentrating can sometimes be symptoms of underlying medical problems like thyroid disease, infections, medication side effects, hormone imbalances, and various other treatable medical conditions. Therefore, obtaining an accurate diagnosis is crucial for developing an effective treatment plan.
